O ambiente de negócios passa hoje por uma rápida e diversificada transformação, e inovar é chave para prosperar. Nesse cenário, uma boa estratégia digital permite à organização se adaptar às mudanças e alcançar uma vantagem competitiva sustentável.
Atuar em ecossistemas mais amplos, aproveitar os benefícios de parcerias e valorizar diferentes habilidades dos colaboradores fazem parte dos aspectos que contribuem para a evolução das empresas – e as tecnologias digitais desempenham um papel fundamental nesse processo. No entanto, não basta apenas adotar novidades tecnológicas. É preciso entender como elas podem, efetivamente, ser usadas para gerar benefícios reais para a empresa.
Em outras palavras, o verdadeiro valor da tecnologia para uma organização não está simplesmente em deter a tecnologia, mas aproveitar os recursos que ela proporciona. Uma análise feita com base no livro “A falácia da Tecnologia: Como as pessoas são a verdadeira chave para a transformação digital” – lançado pelo MIT Sloan Management Review e Deloitte – enfatiza esse ponto, de que a disruptura digital não se resume à tecnologia.
Essa disruptura engloba também o enfrentamento e a superação de desafios organizacionais, para descobrir as “affordances” – oportunidades e possibilidades – que as novas ferramentas oferecem, e que podem diferir de organização para organização.
Como exemplo, os autores mencionam a fita adesiva cinza reforçada (duct tape, no tempo em inglês), inicialmente criada para propósitos militares, mas que logo revelou ter aplicações variadas para diferentes setores, desde vedar dutos até no tratamento de verrugas. Assim como essa fita, uma mesma tecnologia pode ser usada de distintas maneiras, dependendo das necessidades da empresa.
Empresas inovam de formas diferentes
Os objetivos de uma estratégia digital podem variar de acordo com o estágio de maturidade digital da organização. As empresas em estágio inicial se concentram principalmente em melhorar o atendimento e o envolvimento do cliente. Num momento seguinte, de desenvolvimento, elas tendem a focar a melhoria da inovação e das tomadas de decisões de negócios. Finalmente, é mais provável que as empresas em estágio de maturação adicionem a transformação dos negócios a essas metas estratégicas.
Ou seja, o caminho para a transformação digital começa quando as empresas atingem certo grau de maturidade digital, com impactos significativos. Segundo um levantamento sobre negócios digitais, feito também pelo MIT Sloan Management Review e pela Deloitte, com mais de 4.800 líderes empresariais, as companhias digitalmente maduras não apenas inovam mais, como o fazem de forma diferente das demais.
Alguns pontos em comum entre essas empresas em fase mais avançada de maturidade digital são a maior confiança dos colaboradores no futuro da empresa, mais capacidade e disposição para cultivar a inovação com parceiros, a inserção e aproveitamento de ecossistemas digitais e diretrizes mais robustas de ética e governança, entre outros.
